I canβt say enough great things about Wrought Iron Works and Rob!!! From even before booking the class, he was very informative and kind. The day of class, rob taught the history of blacksmithing, worked with us to choose what to create, answers ALL of our questions, and used his expertise to help us understand everything. Not only that, but he made the whole day fun with a wonderful attitude and was so patient with us to make sure we made exactly what we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone considering this or anyone looking for something fun to do!!

My husband and I wanted to do a craft date and we found Wrought Iron Arts Blacksmith Class on Google and thought it sounded fun. We had a great time! Rob is an awesome teacher! He was patient, explained things well, and had so much knowledge in every aspect of blacksmithing. Plus, he was funny and relaxed. He called this the Bob Ross blacksmith class; we were just there to make some happy little weapons! There were 5 of us in total so we could get hands-on, personalized instruction and the class was flexible in that we could make what we wanted and structured in a way that all of us got a chance to use the tools and learn the process. We learned a ton and left with some cool looking daggers! If youβre looking for something fun and different to do, I highly recommend this class.

A good friend of mine and myself took advantage of the gift certificates during the lockdown and finally made our way to the class. We couldn't have had more fun if we tried. Rob was entertaining, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. There was lots of laughter and we all ended up leaving with huge smiles. Rob takes the time necessary to have your project come to fruition, even if it's a set of tongs doomed from the start ππ Thank you again for the great day!

What a great experience! Rob was a fantastic teacher and host. He was patient and really focused in our level of understanding and helped us create our own works of art. I would suggest this for anyone who has an interest in blacksmithing or just wants to do something different with a family member or friend.

Hi Bubba, Thank you for your interest in having us make your sword. Unfortunately we are fully committed to teaching students how to make knives, daggers, and swords and not taking commissions at this time. Good luck with your sword project! -Rob
Hi Emma, We don't have an official age limit here at Wrought Iron Arts. I have taught students from 8 yrs. old to 77 yrs. old. For children and senior citizens or even students of any age with physical limitations I modify (lessen) the size of iron to be forged as well as giving them lighter hammers to work with. It may take them a little longer to work the metal but by teaching the right techniques anyone can forge metal. One item of note for all students under 18 yrs. old, another responsible adult must attend the class (for no extra charge) for liability reasons. We actually encourage all students to bring a friend or family member to spend the day watching their loved ones and taking pictures or videos if they would like. I also provide Comfortable chairs and bottled water for students and their guests.
