Unless you have a lot of money do not take your pets here. They are NOT the original Crill and Palm Veterinarian clinic. They are in it for the money. They will only accept payment up front and refuse to work with clients. One of the pills they wanted me to buy can be bought through Amazon or Chewy.com for about $5.00 a pill They charge $25.40 for one pill...almost a 500 percent mark up....why? They offer no overnight care for sick animals....instead you have to go to an emergency care center. After spending close to $700 for two animal visits they wanted an additional almost $700 for one animal for one day of care. There are other more reputable veterinarians in the area. Avoid at all cost!

I took my kitty in for the 1st time the other day for a spay, a chip, vaccines, rabies shot, flea meds..and then some and I have to say..for the amount of work they did, and the care my fur baby received, the price was VERY fair. They had given me an estimate and when it came time to pay it was LESS than what they quoted me. That NEVER happens! I was very pleased. The girls at the front were super friendly and the Dr was AWESOME. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was very thorough in her exam. They did a great job! They even took the time to call the next couple days to check in and make sure my kitty was doing well. I thought my kitty would be a wreck after all that, and terrified of getting back into the carrier (knowing where it took her the last time) but, she's not..not at all! Apparently she didn't mind the care she got either. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

We are a military family that just moved to the area a few weeks ago. Our miniature schnauzer was not feeling well and we were about to go out of town and did not want to leave her in that condition with someone else while we were away. Our regular vet was closed due to it being the weekend. I was told my dog had to be sedated to check her mouth. I was originally quoted $195. By the time everything was said and done we walked away paying $528. After our first procedure estimate the only thing I was asked to approve was an X-ray. Dr. Martinez informed me that our dog had many abscesses and her gums on the top front teeth were completely gone and that she never sees this in younger dogs. Our dog is 3. We were left with the impression that our dog was seriously ill. The procedure they wanted to do was well over $1,000 not including the price for the extractions and what they may encounter during the procedure. If we chose to move forward with the procedure we would have paid over $2,000 between the visit and surgery. Due to our recent move we couldn’t afford the surgery and as a family believed that we would have to euthanize our beloved dog. My husband will be going overseas and my children believed they would lose their dog and then a few days later have to say goodbye to their dad for a year. It was very traumatizing for all of us. I had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right and made an appointment with our regular vet. Our vet told us that what we were told was incorrect and that our dog just needed a few teeth pulled and not many unnecessary tests and that this does in fact happen to some young dogs. The procedure she actually needs is about 1/3 of the cost of what we were quoted at River City. This place almost cost us our dog’s life! I would NEVER recommend it! We will not be returning.

Check the main VitalPet web site. Follow the 'Careers' tab and then the job title you're looking for. At the moment, I think there is an opening at River City (Palatka FL) for a Client Service Assistant (under 'Service Coordinator').

How much will it cost to have a lump checked out on my dog?

Its 45 dollars for a office visit. They require the shots be done if the pet is going to be bored at the office.

Do they crop ears?

I don't know, I've never done that to my animals. Give them a call and I'm sure they'll provide you with the information you are looking for. If they don't provide that service, they will most likely direct you to someone who does.

Give them a call and see if the vet will see. If this a possible career choice for you, I'm sure that the doctor may give you the insight that your looking to obtain. Good luck.

The facility mngr is also a vet and is the best in this town at it.
