I volunteered here in high school and have dropped off many patients over the years. They do such important work here and I’m thankful to see some of their success stories on social media!

Beware or this place. I have dropped off 3 animals and everytime they are euthanized. If you bring in a sick or wounded animal they wont nurse it back to health. They just kill it. Pretty sad today. The woman there dont act like pure animal lovers. Please find another place to take the precious animals. They get a ton of money from donations and possibly money from the state for "rabies scares". They never rehabilitate a raccoon. DON'T BRING RACCOONS HERE. I REPEAT DON'T BRING RACCOONS HERE PERIOD. Sure death for a raccoon.

I called the number on the website, had to leave a message and a phone number, about 40 minutes later I think it was I got a phone call from the animal hospital, they verify that it was me that called, we exchanged information and instructions and address, we came to the drop off area, put in the new patient, a baby bird that had fallen out of it's nest, very friendly baby bird by the way, informed the hospital of the drop off and they we're very happy.

We are so lucky to have this nonprofit wildlife hospital in our area. They care greatly for animals. Hopefully they'll help this little guy out and send him on his way

Yes, we have a huge team of volunteers. The application is on our website.
Thank you so much for asking. We do not use mascara wands. I've seen that at other facilities as well but we don't really have a need.
Please call the office. Hard to discuss over the messaging. Leave a message if voicemail picks up. Someone will call you back. Thanks for caring.
Please call the office at 321-254-8843
We do but we've taken all we can use right now. Thank you.
Stay away from these people. They are horrible to there volunteers. They treat them like there paid employees. I was in college and need volunteer work and it was cold out side in the 50s and I went out side to clean cages then came back in to warm up and the lady was like what are you doing get back outside and clean the cages. I just walked out.
They have drop off boxes available on site for after hours patients that a video monitored to alert then when animals are dropped off. You can also bring the baby to them in the morning but at this time they are still only accepting patients through the drop off boxes to limit contact between staff and the public because of Covid. But again they are video monitored so the get alerts to let them know when something is dropped off. As soon as they are able to the go to get the animal from the boxes.
Yes, we definitely take squirrels. Please feel free to bring them in ASAP.
I have no information.
If you haven't been vaccinated for rabies don't try to catch him. Call your city or county animal control office.
No, parakeets are a non-native species generally kept as pets. You can try checking with Melbourne Avian Rescue aka M.A.R.S. edit: link here http://www.marsparrots.org/
Hi Daniel, Our volunteer application is currently disabled as we have filled our June Orientation. The application will be reactivated in mid to late June for our next orientations in August. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the hospital at (321) 254-8843. Thank you!

(sorry for the delay. I could not view this from my phone) It should just take a few days. If you still see him struggling, you can bring him in and we can check to see if he is injured.
If he is still around and struggling, you can bring him in and we can look him over. If all seems fine, he can just go back where you found him. Thanks!
You would have to call them but always looking for help
No, the facility isn't open to the public for tours.
