It had everything we needed. The furnishings show a bit of wear but are still serviceable. What made the stay most enjoyable was the attitude and pleasantness of the staff. Everyone with whom I interacted did a wonderful job of meeting the needs of the adults and grandkids (pack n play, additional linens, etc.). Checkin and checkout were both a breeze.

-Stayed for 10 days. The staff was very unfriendly except for a token few (some housekeeping staff and maintenance were great). The front desk acted like we were inconveniencing them when we asked for help with our room or had questions. -The rooms (and most of the hotel) are in extreme disrepair, which is surprising because it seems like it was refurbished recently. The first room we were in had claw marks on the furniture (cats probably) and urine stains (probably the cats again), the desk was falling away from the wall it was mounted to, and the lamp caused the entire wall circuit to blow a fuse, damaging some phone chargers. We were moved into a room which was also in disrepair, and instead of trying to fix stuff after we had already unpacked our stuff, the desk tried to just move us again. We had basic items like lamps, dishes, and towels missing from both rooms when we walked in. -The parking garage ran out of tickets over the weekend and there was no staff available to assist, when we called the hotel the response we got was "well we don't run the garage, so it's not our problem." The garage is listed as their dedicated parking for both the Homewood and Garden Inn. The hotel will also charge you $35 for in-and-out privileges without telling you. It was listed for $25 on the reservation and their website (and was told to me by the staff, but when I brought that up after receiving the bill the desk worker said once again "I'm sorry that happened, but not my problem. I'm not changing your bill" -The Homewood and Garden Inn are run by the same staff. It is the staff of one hotel attempting to run two hotels. They are so understaffed and under-provisioned currently that the hotels are falling apart. -The Wi-Fi is unusable in the rooms. Had to use my phone's hotspot the entire stay. I had no issues with the included breakfast, happy hour, managers social, or fitness center. All were great! It's a shame a Hilton in such a great location downtown just turned into a dump on the inside. Do not stay at either the Hilton Homewood Suites or the Hilton Garden Inn.

Room is in horrific condition. Cigarette burns all over the carpet and reeks of smoke. Mold all over the shower. Sofa bed is broken and front desk said they had no where else to move our family of 5. Ended up in a storage closet with the hotel engineer and had to push a rolling bed down the hall and to a different floor myself to get it to our room. The engineer was very helpful but front desk was really rude to him when he was trying to help us out. Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Very spacious and clean rooms. Beautiful city views. Delicious hot breakfast. Only a 10 minute walk to the National Aquarium. Parking only $25 for 24 hours. Highly recommend!

Questions & Answers

What is the hospital rate?

I think it varies depending on if it's week day or weekend, also time of year, etc. Sometimes the AAA discount was cheaper than the hospital rate. I would recommend that you call them and ask.
