The worst possible housing authority to deal with. Good luck if you try to get a voucher here. The workers are not competent at all

My issue is maintenance, It takes months to get a work order done after several phone calls are placed. I'm always told its not a priority my back door has been broken for two months I had inspection in February by management ( Ms Tiffany) she saw it told me she would report it. Now it's coming off the hinges scared to use so I call the emergency line she responded with it's not emergency I'll let them know. That lets me know they are not concerned about me and my mother saftey at all.
She real
I've been calling for months leaving several messages without a response from HCV. Note, I'm extremely upset with myself because i had my caseworker send my transfer to St. Petersburg housing without checking out the area. The neighborhoods and the condition is awful. Just because we're on section 8, doesn't mean we want to live on the South in the hood. Yes, every house is in a bad area. I admit did 12 houses on the southside of town. There's a alley in the back of the houses, street walkers, and druggies walking the street in the day. I wouldn't get no sleep. If you considering porting to St. Pete anything that says South don't bother unless you're ok with that lifestyle. Not me! Finishing my bachelor's degree so fast, so that I can give them their sec 8 back. Please, transfer my voucher back to my city.

Yes 60 day written notice to your landlord, and make a copy for you ,and section 8. Then fill out the form ( Intent to vacate ) you can download the for via web site.
It's open today for a few hours. It was 10-5 that it. SMH
This is true but you should only pay for application fee if you know they are going to give it to you. Don't keep doing that because landlord rack up the fees for application fees knowing they know who they want to rent it too. If they tell you yes then go with the process or something in writing stating they approved you for a place then go through the process. Some vouchers pay for first month and deposits depending if you got it from
Formerly known as Menorah Center, it is now called Phllip Benjamin Tower
Apply to project based section 8 they have they own waiting list in your state, craiglist,Gosection8.com. Main step is finding the resources.
I don't work for housing, but I accept it for my properties. You'd have to ask them toi be sure. It's my understanding that if you have the proper documentation or forms and you know your case workers email address they will accept it.
Call them they should have a number by your name on the waitlist
Ive been having trouble too what countyvare you in?
Go to what meme said that's powerful resources because it shows all the people who take vouchers. Go to www.Gosection8.com this is a true website. You don't want to lose your stuff due to not finding housing in a few months. The other resources is a shelter...advocates help some shelter have housing advocates and programs in they shelter. Reach out to social workers, someone who deals with helping finding housing in your state.
No
You can go to gosection8.com, They also have a list in the office that they are suppose to update every Thursday.
Does any one have any idea of a place to rent in downtown ST.PETERSBURG with a SECTION 8? JUST A STUIO OR 1 BEDRM APARTMENT I HAVE ONLY MYSELF NO PETS NO KIDS AND I HAVE FOUND NOTHING ON THE SITE
Were are people supose to live who have a few felonies?? When there low in come and disabled???????????????
Does the owner pay any of the utilities? Can you negotiate with the owner to charge $17 less? Promise to stay 2 years of they reduced the rent. Most owners just want dependable people to take care of their property, promise to do both. It does hurt to try to negotiate. I wish you well.
You can get an accurate answer, call HOUSING AUTHORITY Monday morning. MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALL THE COUNTY YOU LIVED IN BEFORE. THAT'S A VERY GOOD QUESTION. I WOULD SAY NO BUT I'VE NOT BEEN IN THAT SITUATION. There are counties taking applications now.
Yes u can
Look on the rental for that area and see what the rent is going for. Compare year, utilities being paid or not for a unit of compatible size. What appliances included. What is the cost of living increase? Ask housing but that may not help.
No.
They did me the same way going to to court now. If would see if the new owners would accept my paperwork
