Our home sustained smoke damage from last years Holiday Farm Fire. Pemco insurance recommended Pete VanderBogart from Michael Scnear Contracting to assist us with these repairs. From the very first call Pete has been professional and responsive, overseeing the cleanup of our attic, heat and air ducts (and still to be done garage). The workers and services he arranged have been prompt, courteous and great to work with and Pete always followed up to be sure we were satisfied. Pete also went above and beyond and offered to provide much needed barn doors for my studio - a 'wish list' item but very necessary to my work. Pete arranged to have doors custom made by McClusky Cabinets. Michael Scnear came out to measure and shortly thereafter Pete, Michael and crew delivered and installed these beautiful applewood barn doors. Though there was an issue with the install I felt completely comfortable discussing these details with Pete. We were touched by the very personal and thorough service we received and are thankful we had someone like Pete to oversee these projects. Great service we highly recommend!

As a real estate broker, it is essential that efficiency, quality and attention to detail is performed. This company exceeded my expectations. I recommend them for my clients when they are in a pinch to make improvements to list to sell. They cleaned up our home from the fire and built my new office to match our home. -- Thank You very much Pete! -- Judy Casad, Broker with Windermere Real Estate - Lane County

I have used Scnear Contracting on 2 occasions. The first was after the recent fires in my area. Luckily my house survived, but, needed a great deal of cleaning and some repairs. Peter handled all the cleaning scheduling, dealt with the cleaning companies, repair contractors and the insurance company making the process easy and stress free. Everything was done quickly and efficiently. Peter was at the house to meet every contractor and make sure everyone was preforming to his standards. Other houses on my street that had less damage and started clean up sooner are still being worked on. (6 months later). The other project was after the fire. I had Scnear built a studio for my wife’s office/art room. Again, I was very impressed with Micheal, Peter and their crew. They showed up as scheduled, work efficiently and did very good work. I believe they did a very good job, more importantly, my wife thinks they a great job.

Mike and his crew are the best in their field- from repairs to remodels to new construction, they know their stuff. I appreciate the creativity and the desire for client satisfaction once the job is done.

The cost of an excavation project is dependent upon the scope of the project. We recommend scheduling a complimentary consultation with one of our expert excavating contractors for an estimate and timeline.
Excavation is the process of moving earth, rock, or other materials with tools, equipment, or explosives. It includes earthwork, trenching, wall shafts, tunneling, and underground. Construction is one of the most common applications for excavation. Excavation contractors dig, move, and grade the earth using heavy machinery for various construction projects.
According to OSHA, "Excavation and trenching are among the most hazardous construction operations. OSHA defines an excavation as any man-made cut, cavity, trench, or depression in the earth's surface formed by earth removal." Because of this, we recommend using a contractor for your excavation project. An excavating contractor comes fully equipped for your project.
Covey Excavation offers excavating services in Eugene, Springfield, and surrounding areas. Offering excavating for foundation building, over lot grading, residential, structural, recreational fields, demolition, sweeping, and more.
A retaining wall can be used, not only for aesthetic purposes, but to hold back, or retain soil, and most commonly done to either manage water runoff or provide usable land. It can also be used for preventing soil erosion. The professional excavating contractor will communicate with you whether you need a retaining wall or not.
Clear out anything that may block access to the defined area. Communicate any possible obstacles to the excavating company prior to arrival.
