Come up here at dawn for the best chance of seeing some elk out grazing.
Owen Lehman
It was a great vantage point for us seeing elk come from several different directions. Well maintained and the visitors were very respectful!!! It was well worth the 3 hour trip to get there, and I hope to get back soon!

It wasn't too crowded. We love seeing the elk and the beautiful view

The scenic views are incredible, even if you don't get to see any elk. There's a wide array of souvenirs and good hours...there are also 2 viewing spots

Early morning or evening. Then they are àll over town. Rut season is best thats when they really bugle.
We saw elk in the woods on the side on the road while we were driving to the viewing area last week. It was around 6:00 pm but it was a cooler day that day too.
Early morning and dusk, suggest you go to the visitor center. Good luck
Thank you guys I appreciate it
Just keep her on a leash. We saw more along the road then at Winslow hill .
