Beautiful location for a relaxing evening! There’s always private parties going on and it is genuinely a great location for events! No interference with the general public visiting. Good summer wines. Food options are very limited. I wish they had more gluten free options or allow those with food sensitivities to bring outside snacks. Regardless, I find myself coming back to this place very often!

I truly never write bad reviews. I just felt our experience was not pleasant and maybe customer service training might be in order . Our first time there and I’m pretty sure last . We bought tickets to enjoy fireworks last night , we arrived and were greeted by extremely friendly couple who gave us our bracelets. We proceeded to the winery where we were not greeted , waited at the counter ( no customers around, just us) to finally young woman asking us what we needed . They had a display of wine bottles available for purchase , I asked if I could taste the first wine which did not specify what kind it was . She said there’s no tasting today in very unfriendly tone , and when I asked her if she can tell me what kind of wine it is - she repeated rudely the same phrase and said it’s dry wine and walked away . After she came back we told her that’s what we would like to buy . I noticed everyone sitting outside and inside had bottles of wine and wine glasses along the tables . She proceeded to give me plastic cup . When I’m at the winery, I truly enjoy wine drinking from a nice wine glass , not a plastic cup . I asked if I could have a wine glass , she said no , we do not offer glasses at this time . Again, there’s a way to talk to customers , and the way she talked to us I really wanted to just tell her to forget the whole thing and just leave . I am glad we heard the music playing, we sat outside and enjoyed amazing duo Debra and Patrick . If would not have been for great energy they gave out , we would definitely not last as long as we did . Definitely beautiful place, however the server left us with unwelcome feeling.

Went to an adult easter egg hunt, drank some really good wine. Great views!

Chateau Bu-De lives up to their name with the buildings and scenery. There's indoor/ outdoor seating to enjoy their wines. Being it was my first time at this vineyard, it felt "unfriendly?" to noobs in that if there was a new released wine, which happened to be a Pinot noir, one would have to be a wine club holder to do a tasting. Otherwise, a noob will have to wait two weeks to taste. With that being said, check their website first if you are a die hard noob wanting to try specific wines for availability on your day off travel. The Chateau sure does get crowded, especially if there is a private party, seating indoors becomes limited. Outside in the deck there are no heaters, so one will be left with the elements. The vineyards is worth the time as they have dry wines, which is my preference. Oh, and if you like taking pictures of your car, this is a good spot to do it.

No check Facebook page
They have it there.
The hardest part would be the gravel entrance that's all
They always have tasting on the weekends
We went for Easter and everyone had food and drinks. Most people had picnics on the grass after the event was over.
There are several options within 10 minutes in historic Chesapeake City. The Blue Max Inn, Inn at the Canal, Ship Watch Inn and Doc Smithers B&B. There is a Hampton Inn in Middletown DE that is about 20 minutes away.
Dogs are welcome outside on the lawn, patio & barn as long as they stay, yes. They just aren't allowed inside the Tasting Room building.
