Best dogs in the country. Have to buy the chili dogs on my way by when traveling. So good takes a little time to get them always busy. Have patients when waiting for your dogs they take great care in preparing them, and take your time eating them enjoy.

Our 50th class reunion from William Penn high school class of 1972 is coming up and we decided to get some gift certificates from different places that are still in business around the area. One of them is the doghouse right off of Dupont Highway in New Castle. So I went in and got a hotdog with sauerkraut and mustard some fries and an unsweetened iced tea. The place inside is pretty much the same as it was 50 years ago back then. when you were 16 got your license that was one of the hangouts that you went to go to. The server Diane was great. Very courteous and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was good. They use to sell subs and pizza there but now they are getting ready to do breakfast sandwiches instead. I enjoyed going back in time at the old hangout. 5 stars !!!!

Stopped there several times in the 90's and back again in 2021. Great foot long hot dogs with chili cheese and onions. Still a great place

Face masks required when inside building except when eating. Not using all seats to maintain 6ft spacing.
You can eat in but might have to wait for a seat as they have to social distance between people sitting. But you can also do carry out
Always the Doghouse,but it changed size numerous times.There used to be a soft serve ice cream stand next door.I have lived 6 houses away since it opened in 1952
They grill their dogs, but they've been in business over 50 years mostly just selling hot dogs, so they must be doing something right.

We were there yesterday. While i was not looking for anything vegetarian, the only thing i noticed was a grilled cheese. You should call them.
