This place may not be the dream site on a mountain view but if you want friendly down to earth working folk by your side willing to do anything to make your stay better this is the place. Do not pass this up. It is just unexplainable. The people now running this park will make you feel like family. I could never thank them enough for their kindness shown during and after our stay. Highly reccomend this to any camper out there. Try it you'll thank me later.

Riverside lots, bathhouse was dingy and dirty. Flood plane area. Watch out for rising water. Water tasted strange, would suggest only using it for potable water tanks and drink bottled water. Was not impressed with the place. If you stay more than a week they make you move sites so they can mow.

Over all I would give this facility a C-. I'm a public campground guy so my review is biased that way. Prefer national forest state parks etc. This is a city owned park. Compared to Arkansas state parks, this campground is a C- sites are small, picnic tables and shade rare. Fire pits scarce train runs near by so there is that. I chose it based on reviews, but it was lower than I was led to believe. Electric, water sites available sites are small privacy non existent. Bathrooms and showers clean but spartan if you use the shower make sure to scope it out first. Dressing requires a plan. The train runs every hour through the night. The road across the river has cars using it as a drag strip. In fairness my dogs slept well, but as retiree that is an introvert and that prefers the sound of nature this was not my cup of tea. Change my grade to a D+. The only good mark I can give this campground is the hosts were good and helpful. Charge for pets was upsetting . Over 40 a night with taxes and other charges. Too many $ for what you get IMHO.

When is opening day?
My parents just stayed there and they said it was $25 a night.
Yes there are 2 showers in each of the men's and women's bathrooms. Reservations are preferred and do gaurontee a spot.
Yes. There is water and power hook ups. There is also a dump station.
We have weekly rates! You pay for 6 nights and get the 7th free. At this time we are not offering monthly rates. This is because we ask that your site be moved each week. This not only preserves the grass, but allows us to cut it!
