Dalia is super knowledgeable and friendly. The park is pretty clean. Campsite quite. We were pretty much left alone to enjoy the solitude although neighbors are close (28 total sites). Full rv hookups and everything you need is close by.

Always have a nice time feeding the ducks and it's a relaxing time!

Fun park to go for walk, fish, BBQ, or just hang out and watch the ducks

Visited on a warm Sep day in 2021 and was not impressed at all. The boat ramp and surrounding area (which was good for fishing) was filthy. The water was polluted and you would get strong smells of human waste, yet there must have been twenty campers there enjoying themselves. Maybe I am the crazy one?

Yes. Great place for 🐕 dog walkers.
If you are renting their boats, I'm almost positive they are paddle boats and the park provides everything, however taking your own life jacket is your choice. Alternatively they will be available for you.
They do not. However there is quite a bit of space to take your dog on long walks on the leash.
Absolutely not! There are signs in english and spanish saying it's not safe to do so.
Probably not, unless you are hiding eggs for the kids yourself.
So are you saying that the park closes at 5:00 and not sunset? I understand that boats need to be off the water 1 hr before the park closes ,I'm confused as to why park access would end before sunset. As a resident and tax payer of this city/ county i feel that our time to enjoy our park should not be diminished due to additional staff responabilties. That matter is something that should be resolved within the staff members and not be passed onto the residents and visitors of the park.
The lake has never been contaminated there was the possibility of it potentially becoming toxic if certain environmental conditions were met. The city took precautions and alerted the public to not come in contact with the water as a safety precaution. If the lake was toxic ,you would see a higher than normal mortality rate of fish and wildlife.
They only allow you to stay 2 weeks I believe

The water level is lower than earlier in the summer but the fishing is still good. Best time for fishing is really early in the morning or late in the evening. You can keep the fish but the lake has been contaminated with a toxic algae in the past so it's not recommended to keep the fish. They treated the lake earlier in the summer to eliminate the algae, so time will tell if it worked. Best of luck out there.
Water is not safe for contact. Would not recommend kayaking. Better to go to Elkhorn Slough.
