Two Rivers Campground

READ UNTIL THE END: SAFETY WARNING Really nice campground, and friendly staff. We actually wanted to stay here on our next trip out that way. However, we will not. The staff is super friendly, BUT the BOATERS ARE DISRESPECTFUL AND INCONSIDERATE OF FLOATERS!! As we made our way around the last bend to pull up to the take out points at Two Rivers Campground. 3 different men in boats flew past our kayaks and completely disregarded the fact that they could have flipped us, and our dogs over causing injury, or worse. I understand that capsizing is a normal thing when floating. But for boaters to completely ignore the safety of others in the water is unacceptable. There are no signs posted for boaters to be cautious of floaters, as well as NO WAKE ZONE signs. One boater in particular had his young daughter with him, as he flew past us, I tried to wave and ask him to slow down, he looked at me and shrugged and gunned his motor making more waves and his buddy and his wife behind him did the same thing. He then turns his boat around along with his buddy and wife following behind in their boat, Flips me off! And guns it even harder! I could not believe that this MAN was so offended that I asked him to slow down so that he would not endanger my family and pets. (What a great example you are setting for your daughter, Sir!) But he intentionally put us in even more danger by trying to make more waves for us then necessary. I am posting this to warn others that the paved boat ramp at Two Rivers Campground could be potentially life threatening. The staff at Two Rivers campground should not encourage floaters to take out at the paved boat ramp as we were instructed to do.

Campground in the genre that will always come back there willingly and without fear. Campsites are neat, the grass is trimmed, the campfire rings are clean. Restrooms and showers clean and pleasant, with a beautiful view of the Current river, and a very easy descent to the river.

Two Rivers is the best outfitter I have used in the region. The staff is friendly and helpful. Always have a good time when we float the rivers with them.
