They usually have whatever I go in to get. The store in Livermore has a great framing employee who actually went to school for Art. Her expertise for custom matting & framing is phenomenal. The store is clean, organized & employees helpful.

Went in to pick up some cheap containers that are usually on sale. When I got to the register I noticed one of the items were about 30 bucks and tried to use a coupon. The cashier then says the coupon wont work on the item, no biggie. I mention that I don’t want the item anymore and she proceeds to just stand there and not say or do anything for a solid minute. So I again mentioned I wouldn’t like the item anymore and instead of taking it off or even talking she starts texting on her phone. After another minute I just walked out, then she says “so you dont want any of this”? seriously?!?! Even if i did want it I don’t think you’d ring it up for me 😂! Definitely one of the weirdest customer service experiences I’ve had.

I had stopped visiting because of experience I had months ago- where I was sold an as is product that was broken and not clearly marked and cashier told me I could return 😂 it was so annoying and they could have easily apologized and gave me the small $ amount at least in a credit, but they didn’t. Then we went back today and after finally making our way to the cashier we discovered that items marked on sale- weren’t on sale and so we had to go back through and choose other items for our project. Staff wasn’t interested in performing what I would consider honoring the price or maybe a discount, even though the entire shelf still clearly listed the sales price for all items 😆 ...they didn’t even pretend to be apologetic. Was very frustrating. 😳 and we will need to start going a little further to shop an alternate craft store (but not on Sundays lol) or take all our business to Amazon which is usually consistently cheaper. We want to support local but ... Just missed opportunities to provide good service.

For a Michael's, this location is HUGE! Clean, well-stocked with a large variety to choose from in each section (Yarns, jewelry-making supplies, artificial flowers /greenery, baskets, stamping, scrapbooking, seasonal stuff, home decor, baking supplies, craft supplies, paper, etc). Frames and Custom Framing is at the back of the store. Their classroom /activity room is in the front of the store. This location is quiet. Automatic front and exit sliding doors for easy wheelchair or disability access or pushing a stroller. Diaper changing table in Women's Restroom. Will accept competitor coupons (aka Joann's). Only con: Hard to find a Michael's sales associate on the floor in any of the sections if you have a question or need something. They are mostly at the check out area, up front.

They have classes for all ages but not specified for teenagers. Although they are very welcome. Cooking classes are a negative however they do offer cake decorating, scrapbooking, beading, painting, some have soapmaking and floral design. They also offer kids make-n-takes, an adult must also be present. Hope that helps.
