In the last few months every time I've gone to urgent care (4-5 occasions) they are a full and at capacity. Every time I go to make an appointment with my provider appointments are at least 2-4 weeks out. My question is how am I supposed to receive care for minor problems, when there's nobody to see me. I was told that urgent care opens up at 9 AM. That's fine for people who may not have a job or are retired. But for people who work daily 9-5 how are we supposed to be seen? By the time I get off you're at capacity. This is very disheartening in light of the fact of how much I pay for Kaiser insurance and it keeps getting higher each year. When I look around and see all the expansions and parking lot improvements it is very difficult to understand why urgent care is unavailable due to lack of staff and funding. Hire more people. Have it open 24 hours. The last time I came at 7:30 on a Saturday to get in line, I was 5th in line and wasn't seen for 3+ hours while people clearly after me in line were seen first. I don't understand. Then I see in many of the responses it is mentioned how you can do video appointments, telephone appointments etc but those do not always work for the ailments some may have. And going to the ER is just as bad when the wait is so long and a larger deductible to boot plus taking away from people who are truly in need of emergency medical help. Sorry Kaiser but I'm starting to think your insurance is not worth the hassle or money, which is sad because I've always been a big proponent to others who talk poorly of you. 😔

I’ve been here many times. The wait has been the longest this most recent time. I’m not sure what the others are talking about when they complain about not seeing people in the order of urgency. They for sure see people in order of urgency. 100%. Sorry that your crying kid is less urgent than someone with symptoms of a heart attack. They have always taken good care of me and anyone that I’ve noticed going in and out of there. Medical providers don’t have unlimited capacity! This is why they keep urging people to be cautious with COVID, when the beds run out where will you go? Blame each other.

6 hour wait today!!! This is Urgent Care. Urgent really. There can not be any excuses really for a large company like Kaiser. Their management needs to wake up or the State needs to do something. This is worst than third world countries. In no other membership/subscription business do you get service like this. Pay a bit more for another healthcare provide and option and stay away from Kaiser. This is ridiculous, esp since this is people’s health on the line.

Been here several times since the opening of UC at this facility and have never had a bad experience. There are a few tips to follow to help the process ... while an *appointment seems odd, Urgent Care is not an Emergency Room visit and an appointment helps speed things along (you can schedule your appointment OR alert them to your walk in on kp.org so even easier!). Walk-ins are allowed, tho wait times will be dependent on other appointments and the severity of other visits. Just for an example, I scheduled a visit for 6pm today, when I got in the check-in line, I got priority once inside 121. Then, when I got upstairs to 222, I was met with people who'd been sitting for 4+ hours, but I was seen within 15 minutes of my appt. time and was out within the hour. If you CAN get a same day appointment at a non UC facility (it's worth it to call and ask), then do it ... long wait times avoided. Nothing is perfect, you cant always plan ahead, and long waits happen, but if you have the time to be proactive, it definitely pays off.

Check in at Building 'D' (hospital) and then they'll send you to the second floor for urgent care
Yes
No sorry i can't help you
You would have to call Kaiser. But generally speaking, Kaiser does take Medicare if you have signed up for their HMO plan. But Kaiser usually does not take medi-Cal.
Do not check in and leave. There is no appointment technically so you could get called way earlier and if you aren't out there you will be skipped
Yes
They open at 0700 to 9:00pm
