I love my trips over to Albany to visit Avenue Yarns. They have an amazing selection of yarns and are very reasonably priced. The sample garments that they have on display are inspirational. Great selection of artisan style buttons too!

Avenue yarns is in the cutest peach and creamsicle building in the most adorable neighborhood. You could spend hours petting yarn and still probably miss something. It is wonderful to see a yarn shop that is so up to date with trends on Ravelry. The only problem is that the shop is difficult to navigate in a wheelchair. Watch out! The floors slope toward the door and the closer you are to the door the worse the slope is.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who "translated" my Australian yarn terms, helped put my collection together, and have a fabulous selection of yarn in enticing displays. This is a beautiful store with a wide variety of yarn to suit many projects, for knitters and crocheters alike. Next time I'm in SF, I'm coming back here. Thank you!
