1st time here. Had fish, fried potatoes, cucumber and onion salad. While it was all good, I could make many, many meals from nothing but the fried green tomatoes. I realize it would take more orders than I could afford, but it gives a feller something to dream about. My wife had the club sandwich and frys and said she too, was totally satisfied. Good food, lots of it, and a wait staff that is attendant to your needs. Who could ask for more? Great job, Andy. I waited way too long to come visit.

While spending a weekend at a rustic cabin near Tamms IL, my wife and I tried Huckleberry's from a recommendation on the Southern IL Eats' Facebook page. This venture was far from a disappointment. The food was yummy, prepared with care and was very well plated, the zervice was impecable, they were bit short handed but we were in no hurry. If you are passing through or hiding out in deep Southern IL for a few days, do not skip Huckleberry's , you would be missing out on a gem of a local eatery. Don't forget to tip your server. If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Stopped for a beer on my way down to Arkansas. The bartender was amazing and gave me tastes of the local brews. Chose a delicious Route 51 peach beer. I stopped for lunch on my way back from Arkansas, since my first experience was great and I needed to try the food. I had the 3 piece catfish. OMG! So good! The fried okra was excellent as well. And again, great service! Will stop by next time I pass through!

This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly and the food is awesome. Fresh fresh food. I had the mushroom and Swiss burger with seasoned fries, and also the fried green tomatoes. All was very very good. I will be returning to try more of the menu.
