Somedays are good and calm. Other days you have people who don't respect others. They have loud music, they smoke and they scream. So be prepare.

One drawback to this stop for individuals with mobility challenges. The primary access to the first platform (Antioch and Richmond trains) from the main 12rh Street entrance is stairs. An elevator or escalator down to this level may exist at some other place in the station but I usually just take the stairs regardless, with difficulty. I'm not sure if BART can practically remedy this issue. It could be great if they could. Nevertheless, 12th St.Station is not as much of a navigation challenge as Rockridge Station with its daunting and flummoxing layout--for folks with restricted mobility, that is.

Pretty good station. It's important to realize there are 3 platforms here and that you may need to go yet one level deeper to reach the train you intend to board or to transfer to (though in the latter case you may want to consider using one of the nearby timed transfer stations instead).
