One of the only privately owned businesses in this area, that I am aware of, who does diner food this well. Reuben sandwich (Dagwood), Turkey burger (Betty Boop), fried green beans, sweet potato fries with maple glaze, peanut butter shakes, onion rings....all, on point. The quality of food and service delivered here are consistently above average. This is in a small town surrounded by small towns...a wonderful place to be, but with very little demand for variety and not much competition to be better than the next restaurant down the road. As a Houstonian who has been spoiled by a nationally recognized foodie haven, I'm overjoyed when a burger is perfectly cooked and seasoned, a sweet potato fry is exactly as crisp on the edges as it should be, and everything I sample is on point. Kokomo's delivers small-town charm with big city quality. A genuine love for food and people is found when you enter this nostalgic and intimate space. One of my local favorites.

This is a wonderful place to go. Great food and atmosphere! We go at least once a week! The deco is the 50s along with the music. Even Elvis is there. The menu has items listed in the theme also. You can get a John Wayne, which is a cheeseburger, and a Yellow Submarine, which, is a banana split. Just love it!

The food was great the hospitality was awesome,,,, and the '50s theme of the room was spectacular!!!! If I had any disappointments at all it would be one thing, the hamburger that I got was called the John Wayne,,, well with John Wayne being bigger than life to say the least, I thought I would have a huge hamburger,,, it was very good but it was also very small,,,, I guess I'll have to go back to KC Finn's on 45 South in Jackson to get a large hamburger!!!!!
