Came to visit someone in Hopkinsville, KY. Undoubtedly, I had to suggest stopping by Shoney's because all the Shoney's have went under in Nashville, TN. I remember my first job at a new Shoney's in Smyrna,TN. I loved the layout and the image inside and out. I have to say, this Shoney's is beautiful inside and out. The bar seating facing the server line was awesome. The booths in the middle of the restaurant was a great way to showcase to focal point of the restaurant. The colors were beautiful. The buffet equipment in it's self was awesome. The food and service was 100% spot on. My, my, my, Oh how I wish the owner would build one just like this in Nashville, TN. Keep it up, keep open and going strong because I plan on coming back and hopefully soon. God Bless each and everyone of you. All of these negative reviews. Was there anything positive that you could find about this restaurant? So you had to flag down a server for a refill. Did it break an arm and hand to wave?

Not the old shoneys grew up stopping everywhere my family traveled. Only had breakfast buffet. Was very good. Clean, stocked, fresh, the salad bar was great. Lots of choices. Oj was great too. Wait staff very attentive and kept table clean. Well definitely be back.

Shoney's has always been a favorite of mine until today. This store has recently been remodeled its nice and clean inside and out. But that's where it stops. Having called ahead and asked what was on the buffet this evening, *we live 30 miles away* I was told they were having their brunch dinner, fried fish, chicken and breakfast. Sounded good to us. My family and I walked in at 430 pm*dinner buffet starts at 4pm*and there were only 6 other people eating besides us. The staff ignored us as we stood waiting to be seated. Something was more important on tic-toc. The buffet was disgusting, everything was dried out and crusted over, the lettuce for the salad bar was brown and and wilted. There was no fish, as I was told there would be. Just fried chicken that turned out to be raw in the middle,*chicken breast and legs. The breakfast side of the buffet wasn't any better, eggs were dried out and rubbery, the bacon was just crumbs all of it broken in tiny pieces. The pancakes looked fresh but there wasn't any syrup anywhere in sight. All in all this has made me not want to go to any shoney's establishment ever again. Wish I had taken pictures..

Breakfast menu is very limited seem they were keying more on their buffet. Waitress we had was friendly and courteous. It took a while to get her food but the waitress explained they were short staffed. Food was good reasonably priced got plenty to eat I'll go back again
