We love Shaker Village- it's beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there are so many ways to learn! I love bringing my kids here because they always learn something new! We've attended music talks and learned about sheep shearing. We've had tea there and made rustic ornaments. We've done farm days- they always have something happening. It's always well done, enjoyable, and educational! Visit if you haven't!!

A very nice place to visit! And an awesome waterfall! It was cool learning about how wool was made and dyed. My nephew enjoyed seeing all the baby goats, sheep and calf. Would definitely recommend!

If you want to step back in time, check this place out. The village has a lot of old buildings with people portraying folks from the past. If you want, you can rent a room and stay for awhile. They have a very nice restaurant on site and a nice size gift shop with items made there. They have park like areas you can drive to on the property. It's best to go during warm weather because of walking between building and around the area. They do have a few special events throughout the year. A reasonable, but small, fee is charged. This is a historic place and can be an educational adventure. Sometimes the local schools take field trips here.

A great Valentine’s Day overnight getaway! We stayed in the Old Stone Bldg and found it to be very nice and comfortable! Enjoyed the special treat of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in our room! Staff was very friendly and welcoming! The food was unique and very tasty! We will return again for the carriage ride and boat ride!Thank you for an enjoyable outing!

Last two weeks of October are a good start, but depending on earlier season being wet, dry,or average it can carry on longer or start earlier.
Have not seen golf carts and in keeping with period atmosphere I doubt they will ever have them.
This place is a museum that explains the Shaker Community that existed over 100 years at this site. You can go through the buildings. Tours and events happen throughout the day. You can also stay overnight and there is a restaurant and few little shops. It is a great place to visit!
There are three gift shops, at Inn registration, building outside restaurant, and inside restaurant waiting area.
Haven’t seen a free day. But a great cause to support with the admission price.
I don't believe so.
No sure about the cost of the river boat,it cost about 10.00 to get in
Yes they do Thanksgiving and reservation required for a fixed price meal. Inn is open as well for overnight stays. Both usually sell out, so plan ahead.
