Sorry for the late review, we had a honeymoon :) This is our experience. I hope it would help somebody. It was our first helicopter flight ever. And I wanted to make a proposal to my girlfriend. And a crew of Group 3 Helicopters knew about that. So, it was a little bit nervous flight, also because it was really windy that day - but not for Tom. And I appreciate Group 3 Helicopters because they made everything PERFECT! We filled out the documents before the flight. The atmosphere was brilliant. They were really friendly, careful and made the process very easy, and I felt myself comfortable. The flight was exciting! Our pilot Tom was a real professional! That windy day he controlled the helicopter like a maestro. So, I had a comfortable chance to ask my girlfriend to marry me during the magnificent sunset view. We really appreciate the team for impressions they gave us and we will remember that day for life! By the way she said YES.

There are very few businesses that exceed expectations before you arrive, this is one of them. We met with Peter, the pilot of our helicopter tour, and were instantly impressed with his hospitality and friendliness. He was incredibly welcoming and guided our tour with such professionalism. He answered all of my parties questions (which were endless lol) and was giving us insiders, if you will, about our City’s landmarks and interesting buildings. This tour made for an incredibly memorable experience for a small family that’s only been on a plane, where things are in and out of your view in just seconds. You are able to really enjoy and take in the scene and be up-close and personal to the daily life of us in Los Angeles. I highly recommend everyone to take this tour and experience flying in the incredibly comfortable helicopters with a truly genuine and informative pilot. Thank you Peter, you have definitely left an incredible memory in my family’s life and we will definitely be back for more!

This tour was amazing, Peter was just so lovely and friendly and super knowledgeable about the areas we visited! It was SO much fun, and we saw so much in the time in the helicopter. He pointed out celebrity homes which was really cool and flew in close to Malibu and Santa Monica pier so we could get some really cool shots! Would highly recommend as part of your trip!

Group 3 was amazing to work with. A very friendly team made us feel welcome and comfortable. We were referred to group 3 by someone we know and it was so much fun. Great communication and a very smooth ride. This was for my 50th birthday and It will be something I'll always remember. I highly recommend the longer tour.

A: Yes, with Group 3 Helicopter's varied fleet of aircraft it affords us the ability to offer private tours with no additional passengers and at no additional cost to you.
A: All Group 3 Helicopter Tours are private. We do not add single passengers to fill every seat. Our LA helicopter tours have very limited interaction with crowds or strangers.
A: This comes down to personal preference - some of the most popular times are booked at sunset. We can help you decide. It really makes no difference day or night since most of the time the weather in Southern California is ideal for flying. However there are days when Southern California experiences what we call a ‘marine layer’ of low clouds and fog. Sometimes the marine layer extends inland and most times not. Our pilots always consult weather reports to determine if the flight will be a go or no-go. Group 3 Helicopters would not want our guests to take a tour unless we were reasonably certain that we could give you a safe and fun experience.
A: The points of interest mentioned in our Los Angeles helicopter tour descriptions are highlights of each tour, which we will endeavor to show you depending on weather such as rain, fog or poor visibility. Also since 9/11 and for national security; airspace closures and temporary flight restrictions beyond our control can pop up. For tours we fly the Robinson R44 Raven II helicopters. These helicopters are 4-seaters and can carry 3 passengers + pilot. Families or groups of 4 or more can be accommodated by flying 2 or more helicopters. It's great fun to fly as a group of 2 or more helicopters.
