I really want to like this place. But every time I’ve been in here, the staff is aloof, and pretentious. You get the feeling they are annoyed by serving you. Sat at the bar one evening and waited about 15 minutes to get a water. To say nothing of the time it took me to get my drink. More recently, my wife and I went in there one evening, it was a bit later and they were slow. Had a sign at the front that said please wait to be seated. Bartender and waitress were halfway down the bar talking. 10 minutes passed and they were still talking. We gave up and left. There was a lady in front of us who said she’d been watching them talk for about 5 minutes before we got there. Great spot, good location, good food. Staff needs to be more attentive to guests.

This place was so inclusive and I loved it. I gave it a 4.5 because I didn't like the ordering process. You didn't have a clue what the food or drinks looked like. I forgot what the app was but with 8 people ordering things it was a bit much. The servers were quite friendly. The food was tasty! I loved the fried pickles and sparkling julep.

We have been dining here since the day it opened.. it was where we brought our guest, recommended to anyone looking for a new place (or anyone that lived brisket) and where we celebrated our anniversary every year… What once was our favorite restaurant is now absolute garbage… the menu is confusing and lacks and explanation of the food, the food and drinks are mediocre now and the service is worse.. staff doesn’t know their menu or they just lie about it. if you liked what it was, don’t bother going back…it’s better a memory…and the “brisket” sandwich is sacrilege. We won’t be back. On a good note, getting a table on a Friday is super easy.

This is an old fire station from the late 1800's. The food was served very fast! The chicken sandwich, oh my! Great atmosphere and a cool place to dine at if you're ever in the Louisville area. Try it, you'll be pleasantly surprised!

Saw a lot of people around, since hilltop just opened I feel like they are too
Just give them a call. We've never regretted going to Silver Dollar...
No its a family based restaurant however there is alot of drinking going on at times and depending on whats going on can have a bar type feel. It may not be sonethibg you eant to expose your child to.
