One of the best chicken spots in Louisville, I’ve loved it since moving here 6 years ago. Love the pimento cheese fried chicken sandwich. Dustin is an excellent manager and always makes the customer feel welcome and valued. Great chicken and great staff. Worth the trip every time

This is quintessential hot chicken. I've lived in Tennessee for six of the past ten years, and the hot chicken at Joella's matches ANYTHING you can get there. The spices are deep and wonderfully complex, and the hear levels can accommodate anyone's preferences and tolerance. They also have wonderful fries and the collard greens are amazing; It's hard to choose which one you want. They also have an excellent house-made vegan chicken that is a great option for the plant-based among us. You can't go wrong with Joella's, it's a local classic for a reason!

Food is great but sooooooooo disappointed you got rid of all your great, unique drinks for Coke products... Big Mistake...... and even after the switch, that one ice machine still don't work.... Its been 6 plus months.. Come on man!

I’ve been here a few times, not a huge fan of the sodas. Chicken quality is great, very tender and consistent! I really like the spiked honey sauce. Today I tried out the chicken and waffles which was a pretty awesome meal before my day of rock climbing. I would have liked more than one pickle slice since the sauce was spicy, maybe next time.

Well they are have stickers layed out telling you were to stand and they have a sign stating that you have to wear a mask.I think they will not let you order if you don't have a mask.They have hand sanitizer set around and they clean the tables after you leave, they also are giving you a little thing that has salt pepper a plastic fork, knife, and spoon plus a napkin. In my opinion they ate doing a great job and would recommend Joellas.
They were emptying the drafts last time I was there. Business decision.
