This is my first experience with acupuncture and it is a wonderful experience. The staff are very professional and the clinic clean. I am able to relax, meditate and most importantly it is helping my back pain. I would highly recommend Modern Acupuncture.

I really recommend Shiela the acupuncturist here. She is kind and very helpful. Very knowledgeable as well. I have also worked with Violet, another excellent acupuncturist at this location. The front desk staff could be more cheerful. It’s not fun to get snapped at when you are 2 minutes late due to being stuck in a very busy parking lot.

I have been going to Modern Acupuncture for a year now. Originally I planned to get treatment for only 3 months, but the benefits have been so great I have continued with weekly treatments. I have chronic back and hip pain, and used to take anti-inflammatory meds 3-5 times a week and pain meds 1-3 times a week to manage my pain. Acupuncture is how I now manage most of my pain; it is my pain killer. The staff is amazing! Nicole is the perfect front desk person with her cheery, friendly, and professional attitude. Nicole is always accommodating if I need a change to my schedule; always sweet and friendly. Shelia is awesome! She is extremely knowledgeable and so gentle inserting needles I mostly don’t feel them. She also is friendly, cheery, and professional. Always asks what my needs are each visit and treats accordingly from back, hip, elbow, hand, or any other pain to sinus pressure, vertigo, headache, etc. The list is endless to how acupuncture has helped my body and given me relief. It is an all around treatment for the entire body to feel better naturally. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Sheila is fastidious in cleaning each area after a patient leaves. The ambience is conducive to relaxing and even taking a power nap on occasion. If you are interested in getting acupuncture I highly recommend Modern Acupuncture in San Clemente.

Staff are super friendly, and the space is wonderful. I was apprehensive at first about being in an open room but it really feels cosy, private, and luxurious as well. I was met by Nicole and treated by Dr. Sheila, both of whom are so kind and helpful. As a student of acupuncture myself, I really appreciated Dr. Sheila's explanations, especially her western background really grounds the Chinese medicine approach (not that it needs grounding at all). Overall, very happy patient and will definitely be checking in for another acu-snooze again ;)
