What can I say... First friendly, reliable and prompt. He explained throughly what he was doing, what I could expect if there was a mild presence or an asbestos presence. He tested areas I would have never thought to test. He is honest, reasonable in price. Another company was used and as they say, you get what you pay for, well it's true. When iy comes to your health or anything that may have to evolve into litigation, this is the company you want to use. I explained my situation both financially and what I needed to be sure of. He worked with me to make sure I could be certain of the variables affecting my health. The test results came back quickly and his complete report was so on point, easy to understand and read and not only helpful but beneficial! I highly recommend this company! Remember you get what you pay for, so he may be slightly pricey but he's worth it!

Tim was exceptionally professional yet friendly and personable. I am so thrilled that we were referred to him to test for asbestos. It was wonderful to meet someone who gave us confidence that he was there to serve by giving accurate information without trying to oversell us on what we didn’t need. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We are so pleased!

Procedure 5 Plans are required to clean-up any disturbed Asbestos Containing Materials and any associated contents or materials. In compliance with SCAQMD Rule 1403, a Procedure 5 clean-up is recommended due to damaged ACM materials. A Procedure 5 clean-up plan must be written by a CAC and approved by the SCAQMD prior to any renovation, abatement, or clean-up efforts. It is recommended that the areas not be occupied or any materials or contents be removed prior to clean-up. South Coast AQMD (www.aqmd.gov) is the local air quality management district for LA and OC which establishes the guidelines for Procedure 5 Plans. 3West Environmental, Inc. is able to prepare a Procedure 5 Plan upon request. Five Things You Should Know about Mold (from the EPA website) 1) Potential health effects and symptoms associated with mold exposures include allergic reactions, asthma and other respiratory complaints. 2) There is no practical way to eliminate all mold and mold spores in the indoor environment; the way to control indoor mold growth is to control moisture. 3) If mold is a problem in your home or school, you must clean up the mold and eliminate sources of moisture. 4) Fix the source of the water problem or leak to prevent mold growth. 5) Reduce indoor humidity (to 30-60%) to decrease mold growth by: Venting bathrooms, dryers and other moisture-generating sources to the outside Using air conditioners and de-humidifiers Increasing ventilation Using exhaust fans whenever cooking, dishwashing and cleaning
"Some people are sensitive to molds. For these people, exposure to molds can lead to symptoms such as stuffy nose, wheezing, and red or itchy eyes, or skin. Some people, such as those with allergies to molds or with asthma, may have more intense reactions. Severe reactions may occur among workers exposed to large amounts of molds in occupational settings, such as farmers working around moldy hay. Severe reactions may include fever and shortness of breath. People with a weakened immune system, such as people receiving treatment for cancer, people who have had an organ or stem cell transplant, and people taking medicines that suppress the immune system, are more likely to get mold infections. Exposure to mold or dampness may also lead to development of asthma in some individuals. Interventions that improve housing conditions can reduce morbidity from asthma and respiratory allergies."
"Molds are fungi that can be found both indoors and outdoors. No one knows how many species of fungi exist but estimates range from tens of thousands to perhaps three hundred thousand or more. Molds grow best in warm, damp, and humid conditions, and spread and reproduce by making spores. Mold spores can survive harsh environmental conditions, such as dry conditions, that do not support normal mold growth."
