Was told about this place by a customer of ours. To be honest after looking it up on maps I never thought I would be in the area to give it a try. However after a night in Cincinnati for a concert, we found ourselves close enough to go out of our way for this place. We are glad we did! Service, Atmosphere, and the Food was excellent. We enjoyed the meatloaf fried chicken and the pork tenderloin. If your close by give this place a try! The lemon 🍋 pie was best I have ever had!!

I LOVE Our Best!!! It is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious, that staff is always friendly and welcoming and the prices are very fair! Even when they are busy you get seated and you get your food in a timely fashion! The only thing that I had to complain about once was we got an order of the fried mushrooms & when they got to the table and they were hot on the outside but still cold on the inside, I let our waitress know and they were immediately fixed other than that minor hiccup I have absolutely no complaints!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

It had been a long time since I had been in Our Best restaurant in Smithfield, KY. Even after 10 + years I still ran in to friendly faces I had known. All day it had been pouring down rain, streets and fields were flooded and driving was actually becoming dangerous. Usually I would head down to Louisville when I was craving fish but the weather diverted us to this closer destination. We started out with bean soup and corn bread and it was about as good as it could be. I ordered my fish, cod dinner, and let me tell you friends, when they brought it out my eyes lit up. It was possibly the thickest cut of cod I’ve ever had; hot, flaky, buttery white fish at its best. I have no desire to travel to Louisville anymore. Everything else was fantastic as well. Cleaned my plate and had sweet, rich chocolate meringue pie for dessert. Honestly one of the best overall meals I’ve had in years. They offer the best of country cooking including fried pork chops, country fried steak, fried chicken, liver and onions and more. They do get busy at times but it’s worth the wait. Just sit out on the porch and get to know your neighbors. Call before you go to make sure they are open. I can’t wait to go again, my mouth waters when I think of “Our Best”.

Great place, friendly staff, great down home country cooking. I enjoyed the mill burger today :) but the fried chicken is also solid!

Yes, they're open for indoor dining as usual but with fewer tables to provide appropriate distancing. No outdoor seating. Call ahead carry out is also available. They're open Tuesday through Sunday, closed on Monday. They don't take reservations. Sometimes rather busy on Sundays. Great food and good people.
I'm a regular customer, I will pass your suggestion to the owner next time I visit. For your information, they're always closed on Mondays. They also always close during the week before Christmas and reopen during the second week of January. The exact date varies a little from year to year, depending on what day of the week Christmas falls on. I agree with you that it would help to have that information available on their website. I always call ahead to any small business to confirm that they are open before I drive a long distance.
Well my wife and Daughter went on Saturday. My wife and Daughter got Roast beef the meat was full of fat and had a slime on it was not eatable.I got the pork chops with bake potato the pork chop was good but potato had been cook way to long and was hard had to cut with knife, Was not enough butter and sour cream. We have eaten there many times and was good in the past we drive from Frankfort witch is 50 miles away,I hope that this does not continue down this path.PS this would be a shame.
Sorry....no
Sorry, but we will be spending the holiday with our families and will not be open. Enjoy life and be safe!!!!
They are traditionally open on Easter and extremely busy. They don't take reservations, so get there early or anticipate a wait.
