Right next to a great playground. Perfect if you have little kids!

OMG... I was just reminiscing about my high school years, spent right across the street at old LA High, which was sadly torn down because the earthquake and replaced with a building looking more like a federal prison, and is why I was so happy to see that this magnificent structure still stands. It was here that Dr. J. Allen Hynek, the greatest UFO researcher of all time, came out just to tell we teenagers about the reality of UFOs, long before it was popular. When I got to meet him personally after the talk, it was the high point of my entire life. He was a great man, far ahead of his time. It was also interesting to learn that this library was designed by the same man who designed the Griffith Observatory, and I hope that this beautiful place, and it's remarkably peaceful park, live on til' the end of time. Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane:)

This library is the best. I like going here to study and/or do my homework. Perfect environment. The librarians are kind, and helpful. Only exception are the bathrooms. They stink and are super dirty. Seems as if no one cleans them.

Free wifi, nice family park outside, pretty decent street parking, can be supremely noisy with the kids around and sometimes the library staff is super loud too. You have to be very selective about the times you go there.
