Nice new park but gets crowded. Parking is 2.50 an hour. There are food trucks there. Bathrooms are all gender. I hope they keep this park nice for long and not deteriorate from vandalism. Some dog owners there need to pick up after their dog please.

Fantastic playground for kids, made with natural materials like tree trunks, very interesting and unique. And there is a cottage where kids can learn about nature, paint, and touch a coyote and owl (preserved with taxidermy). Lots of staff to help. Finding parking is a bit challenging but you just need to be patient. There are some food trucks nearby.

Beautiful park with amazing views. It’s a nice addition to the area that naturally connects the main parade lawn (where I’ve enjoyed food trucks @ off the grid) to Chrissy field beach and the waterside walkways. Brand new restrooms, lots of open space for picnics, and a huge play area for kids. Not very dog friendly; the playground area has no dogs allowed and there wasn’t an off-leash dog play area. There were food trucks when I was there on a Sunday, and lots of people!

So beautiful, incredible. Was such a joy to visit on opening day. There were so many people here, but such a good time - and plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful weather on a gorgeous Sunday, lots of smiles, so many families and people from all backgrounds. Such an amazing new park - exceptionally designed. Perfect for families, and everyone, really. Lots of green lawn to sit and picnic on. Ample picnic tables and even some spots for grilling. I loved the Field Station, and the huge children's play areas looked so wonderful and engaging for all ages. And the VIEWS. Stunning, panoramic vistas. It's so lovely to have such amazing views open to the public now. What a location. I especially loved the view looking east - with a perspective of the Palace of Fine Arts I'd never seen before - and the city skyline behind. GO HERE. You won't regret it.

I like your answer, but do you have anything to back it up?
Park along the lower road accessible from the marina (bayside) - it parallels the old airfield area. The used sporting good store is next door. This gives easiest access to the children's park.
Presidio Sports Basement is the closest free parking but is often very full. I would try the Presidio Main Post area for metered parking, it's a nice short walk to the tops. Further parking is available at Chrissy Field and Marina Greens. All longer walks but on a nice day I don't think anyone would mind.
