I've been in their office several times. Several of the staff members were very nice. I stopped by on Friday (5/13/22) to inquire about fostering kittens. The first lady I spoke with was extremely nice. However, the blond older woman behind the counter was incredibly rude. She basically called me a liar because their computer entries had my cat listed under two names. I'm reasonably sure that most people rename their pets when they adopt them. I've adopted two cats in my adult life. One male and one female on the same day a couple years ago at the El Dorado County Animal control. I know exactly how many pets I own and care for daily. I also know their names. Your computer entry error does not give you permission to mistreat the public. Its unfortunate that their staff member is allowed to behave like that.

Had a very unpleasant experience here today. I went in to report that we found a dog. We have been taking care of it and desperately looking for it's owner. I was talking to the very nice gal at the front counter filling out paperwork. Then as we were talking, another woman just showed up from a room behind the counter. Started talking to me like I did something wrong. Very very rude. She really was talking to me like she was already mad at me. Never seen her in my life. I was there to do right by the dog. I have her name and title and will be making a formal complaint. I hope that she is not an example of who the folks at the shelter are. I do not think so.

I was desperately looking for my 22+ year old cat that had gone missing & we knew it was near her end of life. I was notified that Animal Control had her & to come immediately. I was able to come in, see her sweet soul & be with her before she passed away. I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity to be able to say goodbye to her. Thank you so much El Dorado County Animal Control & all that you do. Your staff was all so compassionate & understanding. Outside of this, the facility is awesome. They do tons of yard time with the dogs, the adoption areas are great to get to know you new future fur babies. Staff is so nice ! If you are looking for a new best friend I would definitely go here to give a fur babie a 2nd chance at love!

I adopted my dog Wylie-Bear from here as a Nine month old puppy! He was given to me clean, free of fleas and ticks as well as being very healthy! All animals are chipped and licensed before they are available for adoption along with all necessary shots/ vaccinations. The shelter is large with large kennel holding areas and an EXCELLENT ADDITION of outside play areas completely fenced in for a dogs every dream; to run untethered chasing balls of chewing squeaky toys! Wylie is a German Shepard Akita mix and now a Professionally trained and Registered Service Animal for my PTST! Sincerely, Barth “Ski” Gutowsky (Lewis Laughing Bear) Hangtown Ca.

You can find pictures on their website :D
Free, just want to make sure they find a good home :)
El Dorado county has an ordinance n a brochure that describes n tells you exactly what this ordinance means. Contact the el Dorado county animal control officer on duty to report.
You can submit an online non-emergency complaint with the exact address. Notification to abate the nuisance will be sent. Track the dates and times.
You have to make an appointment. Or if they aren't your dogs ask to volunteer
Cost will vary. There's the adoption fee and a licensing fee. Some dogs are sponsored and costs are reduced. It's best to inquire about a specific dog that interests you.
Liability.
The fee is low. A dog can be a priceless faithful friend. The fee at Animal Services covers the cost of care while the dog is there.
I believe you can. Just call.
Cats don't have to stay inside
Animal Services has traps you can "rent". We recently used one and it was easy to operate and cruelty free
Call them in the AM. They're very nice there.
If it's injured yes then call El Dorado County animal services. But if it's dead then you would need to call Cal Trans. And they would get DOT to come out and pick it up.
Please google sanctuary for senior dogs near me. Also use type of dog ie. Looking for a sanctuary for terrior dogs..other than that i have no help here
Call the location (South Lake Tahoe or Placerville) you would like to volunteer at and ask for a volunteer package.
You would need to call DOT, if it's on a roadway of some sort of your property. Or maybe animal control can help you.
Not usually, but it'll take someone who cares to make it be changed. We're pretty big on animal welfare. If they are kept there during the winter months like that out in the open, they will get sick and could possibly pass away. If they don't get heat stoke by then.
You can get one by going into animal services, by going online to the web site, or by purchasing one from you vet. Most vet offices in El Dorado County sell licenses. You will need to provide proof of a current rabies vaccination.
Yes surrender fees apply
You will have to wait till Monday to call and find out.
I didn't take any. I am just learning about this phone app feature. Sorry. EDC Animal Control is always clean and has well cared for animals in need of adoptions. I will foster or adopt or once a long haired Chihuahua/Yorkie female comes available.
Animal Outreach and El Dorado County Animal Services.🐶
I would call the shelter for the correct answer.
Sunday CLOSED Monday - Saturday 8am - 5pm Closed on Holidays I believe this is correct. Animals can be seen after 9:30am
Not sure...best bet would be to call them and inquire
