Updated review: Increase from one star to 2 stars. Received a call back from Balboa that was somewhat helpful. They still only get 2 stars because of their decision not to be more helpful. —————————————- Original review: Balboa water group has absolutely horrible technical support. They refuse to talk to the end customer or a technical professional on their technical support line. I plan to post a complaint on their Facebook site hoping that that will generate sufficient concern to get them to actually support me with an issue with their equipment… But no guarantees that will even work. I’m not asking them for DIY Installation or repair help… I am asking for their thoughts on an error message I am occasionally seeing on my Balboa Water Group Control panel display, before I contact a spa repair company who will likely have to do the same thing before they can start working. I find that a knowledgeable customer is the best customer, which is why I always try to help my customers when they call in. I will consider updating this review if Balboa provides some useful support/information. And by support/information, I’m not talking about pointing me in the right direction. I’m talking about an actual person to person discussion on the phone, regarding why this doesn’t happen at temperatures below 99°F, but why at 99°F and above... it happens multiple times a day. Also, the Balboa BP Troubleshooting & Service Manual Does not provide sufficient information on troubleshooting this problem. If it did, I would not be writing this review.

As a service tech, I expect to be able to contact someone in tech support when necessary. Shame on you Balboa, won't even have a real person answer the phone. Email and wait for someone to get back to me? Poor customer service. Do you stand behind your products? This is why i dont offer my customers Balboa products anymore.

One of my customers called Balboa as an end-user automated service hung up on them. Me being a licensed company, I called as a technician and the automated service told me to send them an email and they would get back to me in 48 hours then hung up on me!

The most rudest customer service ever! All I wanted was tech support for my current product. Even the phone service hangs up on you if your not a dealer. Buyers beware! Based on that I will never buy this product again! And I'll spread the word!

That would most likely mean you have a pump that is going out but there are several factors that can contribute. We would suggest you contact the tub manufacture or an industry service professional so they can troubleshoot your unit properly.
