The owner is an older gentleman and yes he is a bit stiff but if your polite and respectful he will be likewise. I give it 5 stars and hope to return again soon. The knife trader is definitely a rare find!

The people here are very nice, however, there’s a major problem in the way they sharpen knives. I imagine they sharpen with a large, turning rockler machine instead of a sharpening stone. It takes off the complete outside coat of your knife, and without the protective layer your knife manufacture made, your blade will soon mold. I haven’t used my zwilling kanren blade yet, but as you can see, the famous coating layers of this knife has been taken off. Super bummed.

I took my shears to be sharpened. At first I thought it was a bit pricey, but now that I used them I think it was worth every penny.They did better than any other place I’ve been to. I’ll definitely be going back
