We went on a quiet day and what a treat! Parking lot is free and access to resort is a quick walk - which is rare nowadays. No buses or expensive parking. Lifts lines are non-existent and the mountain is massive! Runs are long, and soo so wide. I can't imagine ever running out of space, even on a busy day. Venturing over to the east side was great - plenty of playful runs outside of the groomers. Ski staff was super friendly and recognized us. Facilities clean and orderly. Can't wait for the backside to open!

I am a Colorado native and I'm embarrassed to say last weekend was the first time I've ever had the privilege of skiing Ski Cooper. What a gem of a well-run little resort with FANtastic snow, uncrowded slopes, and friendly people. It was like skiing in Colorado in the olden days. Can't recommend it enthusiastically enough. Best day of spring skiing I've ever had.

I really want to give it one star just so other people won't go and discover this place. But I just can't do that, it's perfect for families looking for a haven from the big over priced places. I have been several times over the years and took my kids here for their first experience. So open and safe, no long lines great powder. Even on Christmas week some years ago, I think the most people I waited in line behind on the main lift was less than 20 at any time. Back then, lift tickets cost $27 at the local Safeway grocery store. I just purchased my lift tickets for next week, President's day week and can't believe they are still just $50!!! Where else can you find that! Most places are well over $100! Anyway can't wait to try the new ski areas on the back of the mountain. Let's see if I have a few DD's in my legs still at 52!

It is not my first time at Ski Cooper but it is my first review. I had a snowboard class with Spencer on 1/23 and OMG, he is absolutely fantastic and everything I needed in a instructor. He is patient, clarified all my questions, gave me great insights and, above all he kept believing I could do what he taught me and his attitude inspired me! I also had other instructors whom gave me the basis for boarding but I can definitely say that Spencer is off the charts :)

I was there yesterday and at the base they are handling things quite well and definitely enforcing mask. The lift line was also never more that 4 people which is also a huge plus.
You can't sled on the ski slopes during lift operations. They let up hill traffic in the morning up to 8 am and after 5 pm. There may be sledding off the parking lot by the X country hut. I'd ask before doing though.
We sell 4 packs at our trade shows in the fall from late August to November and we sell a 4 day XP Pass for one person from late October through November.
Hopefully as late as April 18th but that's only if they get enough snow
The base is at 10,500 ft. The summit of Cooper is 11,700 ft. The top of Chicago Ridge is 12,600 ft.
Yes, you can rent snowboard boots separately. It's $25 for ages 15 & older and $15 for ages 14 and under.
Stick to the bunny Hill for a while, attempt the platter lift to the far left and go from there. The main run down the center has some steep parts that are pretty intimating for newer skiers
