If you're talking about the Moorpark train station, yes it's one of the safest places you'll ever find. Crime in Moorpark extremely low and people leave their car there all the time

Depending on traffic, it's about 20-30 minutes. 15 with no traffic (but this is SoCal so...).
maybe post signs reading; "the whistle blows, does the driver?" near the areas in question.
