They are currently renovating the waterfront and adding riprap. Comfortable spot for fishing but that being said....the actual catching of fish other than drum isnt great. Walleye are halfway decent under bridge sometimes. Good, relaxing spot to spend your lunch break.

I ended up going to this park due to Starved rock and Mathieson being closed. It was okay, flooded the day I went. But it was nice for a small stroll.

Well that's the secret 🤣🤣 I cought lots of them using chicken 🐓🐓 levers
I don't fish it but others have caught catfish, bass, pan fish and common grass carp
The nearest bait store is B + B Live Bait 1025 La Salle St, Ottawa, IL 61350. Considering that this is a river town, the gas station on your way may have some bait.
