My husband and I have been making the drive from chicago to august hill for a few years now. We absolutely love this place. Never a disappointment. Amazing wine! You can tell the difference between cheap wine and good quality and august hill is definitely good quality wine. I’m very sensitive to certain red wines and I never have a reaction with august hill wines. Worth the drive! Will continue to make the trip :)

Andrew was a great representative for August Hill. He was very knowledgeable about the wines we had tasted. On our way out I had accidentally left my cellphone on the bar. Andrew was kind enough to place it behind the bar. We returned about an hour later and he handed back the phone. We would highly recommend August Hill as as a visit to the Starved rock area. Thanks again Andrew!

Amazing wine and super service! My friends and I came out to Starved Rock for a fun weekend get away hoping to enjoy a wine or two along the way. We ended up staying for hours and trying almost everything on the wine list. The fabulous women who took care of us went above and beyond. August Hill is a required stop next time we come!

Love the atmosphere! Friendly servers. They definitely know their information about wine. I went there with my fiance and sister -for my sisters birthday- AND we all got different wine for our wine tasting (5 selections for $5) and we all tasted each others. I like that we were allowed to do that without getting into trouble. Lol.. We than sat outside on the patio; there was a guy playing music. Beautiful weather and nice music.
