Nice place for a hike, as long as you know where you're going and willing to risk getting on trail 7. Whoever made the trail signs are obvious CAT programmers and don't know how to document things, or don't provide helpful documentation. Where did the trail go? Why did it split off? Why arr there four trails now? If you keep going on the trail you were on, it suddenly changes numbers. To what trail did you end up on? Nobody knows! 😉

Great trails! And playground. Lots of room and it's always kept up well

Review Visit: October 8th, 2014 A park as massive as the town is small. I’m not kidding when I say this park is massive for the size of the town its located in. When I set my destination to this place, my girlfriend (who is from the area) said it was a hangout spot for her as a kid. She failed to mention how massive the place was. We got there and parked and I had to ask, “Is this really it?! This park is huge!”. She confirmed that my eyes weren’t playing trick on me. This park really is spread out with lots of open fields and areas to hike. Time was important since the sun was setting, so we didn’t get to spend the afternoon seeing what the park had to offer. We did get to walk around a little bit, play on some of the playground equipment, and check out Lee Cabin. The cabin was a cool little gem hidden in a park that is a gem itself. There isn’t much else to say. Its a park that you can seemingly do a lot at. Walk, hike, play on the equipment, picnic… and who knows what else since I only saw parts of it. If you are in the area and have an itch to explore something between a small city park and a state/national park, Black Partridge Park is perfect for that.

This place is totally awesome. 450 acre park with a 2.5 mile loop trail. Sports fields, playground, Lee's Cabin. A beautiful backdrop for photo ops. Very good place to go mushroom hunting in the spring. Be sure to take a camera with you for many wildlife photos. Take take the kids for a picnic and spend as much time as you like. Free to publuc.

I dont know if there is a policy one way or another, but I think most of the trails are too narrow, particularly if you needed to pass hikers or bicyclists. You will want to scout it first.
