Great place to bring the kids to play on the playground, or take them on the beach. It's very calm since it's a lagoon. Lifeguards are in duty during the day as well. Bring the family for a picnic! Clean restrooms as well!

The Colorado Lagoon is a beautiful place with lots of wildlife and a nice trail. It also has a nice beach area and a dock. During the Summer it is very crowded with people from all around the city, so I don't recommend trying to go for a beach day, but to walk or bike through, or to go over the school year it is amazing. There are lifeguards and a playground area that was just recently renovated. Most of the lagoon itself is a reserve, but there is a fairly large area for swimming, etc.

Me lying on the grass trying to do a selfish with my 5 month, can't-stay-still Shep mix. Another gorgeous Long Beach park with its own unique vibe, a way different vibe than any other park. Caters well to young families & litte ones, dog walkers, people spending quality time alone- reading a book-on the lap top or wasting time texting away like me. The Lagoon water is best for baby & juniors to enjoy grass-side and sand-side, sunbathers & chat groups, and picnic parties &; rec activities. It gets really, I mean really, very crowded here and parking is tight but the lucious grass stretch, so inviting makes for an ideal place to just stop & lay back. Colorado Lagoon borders the marina waters and another park and is alongside a heavily traveled road leading to the marina, the beaches and Belmont Shore area. It's also great for just driving along cruising, sight seeing and even a pit-stop to take a break, power nap, walk, talk, chill or a place to eat your take-out. It's a great area for group parties and activities too. Although it's nice, it can get crowded, traffic can be heavy and parking is a commodity but the beautiful view; awesome weather, and loving life vibe is what attracts people here. I took a car ride just to take the long way home but ended up stopping, parking & getting out to sit under a shady tree and catch up on messages. Its was a post card weather day-couldn't pass it up. It's times like this that I'm grateful to enjoy the great lifestyle that Long Beach has to offer. Colorado Lagoon is a beautiful example of one of the many places to enjoy-the stuff that makes up Long Beach.

This is a wonderful place to bring kids. There are plenty of life guards and the water is very calm, but please do watch your kids regardless. It can get very crowded so please don't be like me and get there early. Also this is in the middle of a residential area so please be polite and be respectful with the residents. In addition please don't leave your trash all over the place and if you are going to drink don't bring glass bottles, as my daughter found a big piece of glass in the water.

Also its bonfire not barn fire. That would be a different thing all together lol
Fishing is illegal there even if you have a fishing license. It's a preserve.
I go to the lagoon almost daily. It is fully operational at this time

I have seen many people fishing there, so I assume that yes you can.
I didn't see any official rules posted. All I can tell you is that when I was there, there were people using a grill

Park across the street in a free lot. There has always been parking spots when I go.
Myself I've only seen the moon jelly which is harmless to man it won't sting you I haven't seen any yet are the dangerous ones and the Lagoon was just redone it's absolutely beautiful it's incredible to see in the evening when the Sun goes down and it's fun to take the kids to it's a great place

I don't see why not, does L.B. have a sign that says sell anything...
No, but you are allowed to bbq away from the sand
I've gone twice this summer to Colorado lagoon and I've honestly never seen a jellyfish in there.
They do not charge
Its not a dog park or designated dog area. Dogs would need to be on a leash.
No grills allowed
Yes
There's always been fishing allowed there with a legal fishing license only
It was a labor of love for over eighteen years. The man who spearheaded it sadly did not live long enough to see it to fruition. There is a bench which was unveiled at the grand opening. His family lives nearby and we all can enjoy the beauty and serenity and cool tidal flow whist swimming in the dog days of heat. I for one thank him and feel blessed it's not just a concrete backwash like it was in the ninties
No
