A beautiful building that has brought me closer to and taught me more of God and Jesus Christ. So peaceful and calm. The actual temple is open exclusively for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, however they have a wonderful visitors center behind the temple that is open and welcoming to everyone. Lots of great information and people who can tell you more!

One of the most peaceful places in LA! A wonderful place to escape the hustle of the city. It is very well kept with many many different kinds of plants and flowers. The visitors center has free tours and a few exhibits on the life of Christ. There is also a family history center with free help to discover your own history!

Although I'm not a Mormon， but every Christmas eve, if I could, I went to the Mormon temple near me, it brings me peace and calm. This is first time been to LA temple, very beautiful one (although so far Oakland is my favorite), really had great time walking there.

The peaceful feeling at this temple compares to none. Any time you drive or walk on the grounds you can immediately feel a calmness round about you. I love that the public can come to the grounds and spend as much time as they’d like here. And the Visitor’s Center behind the temple is super interactive. It’s fascinating to learn more about Jesus Christ through the exhibits there. I’d recommend everyone visit here, no matter their faith or tradition.

Sister, yes, you can take your friend to the LIVE session; she must have a current recommend signed by her Bishop and Stake PRESIDENT, which she must have with her, to ENTER at the Los Angeles California Temple and will present it at the recommend desk. ENJOY your time with your friend inthe temple.

That's a question for the temple president or someone who can make that decision. Try calling or going to the visitor's center to ask.

The family Search Library is located below the visitor center. Enter on the East side of the building. It is downstairs. It open daily from 9 am -5 pm on Monday, Friday and Saturday. On Tue, Wed, Thur it is open from 9am to 9 pm. They are always volunteers there to help you.
