We had a balloon release for a young man gunned down in Chicago...the park was beautiful and perfect for a celebration of life

On the 1st Saturday of each month at 10am you can come to this sweet little slice of nature and listen to a true raconteur describe the significance of this Nat'l Historic Site starting with geologic time and going all the way through to today. You'll see a replica of the canoes the trappeurs and First Peoples used in their journeys from the Great Lakes to the Mississippi. Highly recommended.

I love it here! The trails are always clear and it's never too busy. My son loves it too. Great area for photos as well. We come al the time especially for quick walks to get some exercise in.
