Mechanic Street Parking Lot

Even tho Shenandoah Valley Electric owns this parking lot, they allow the public to park there. I've never known anyone for being ticketed for parking in their lot. It's convenient for Greenway walkers & picnicers. Throughout the year you see RV's & other passing through travelers stop there to take a break. There is a Port-A-John close by that is also handicap accessible that is provided by the town. I don't believe they allow overnight parking but the parking lot is well lit at night.

The Greenway is the perfect place to take a walk at whatever pace you prefer . Most beautiful town park and walk is easy and paved .

Luray has a greenway which has been in the county for about a decade. Babbling streams with stocked trout is a treat during the Fall And Winter months. During Spring and Summer is a nice retreat from the bustling city.
