This bakery is 3 blocks from my house, convenient enough to pick up sweets on my way to work. I read a few of the reviews about stale break or pastries and I honestly have not experience that, on the contrary the pastries are amazing and the 3 Leches cake is phenomenal! My coworkers are obsessed with the 3 Leches cake, I often pick up 3-4 slices. The service is the only reason why they are getting only 3 stars. The lady that works at the register always has an attitude when you ask a question, I can tell that she hates her job and treats customers so rudely. I stopped by today and when I asked her what kind of bread was on the counter she said " the man in front of you asked the same question, you didn't hear me?' (in spanish) There were other coworkers behind the counter, a young woman and a man counting money. I was in awe when I didn't see a reaction from anyone else about her response to me. Sadly today was the last day I will be brining in that Tres Leches cake for my co-workers. Service makes a difference, even when you are doing everything else right, bad service can ruined the whole experience.

I went and, honestly, it's huge and has a big selection but every bread I tried with the tongs was hard and crumbly. I ended up getting a handful of things that were "soft" enough.

I went in to place a cake order for my sons bday. I later called to make changes to my order. The following day I went back in to confirm that that changes were properly documented to avoid any disappointment on the day of my sons bday party. They confirmed that the changes were made. When I picked up the cake I paid $85 for it. To my surprise when we cut the cake I was very disappointed to see that the changes to my order were not made. I called to speak with the manager (Armando). I told him that I chose their bakery because a friend had recommended them but I did not get what I paid for. Armando told me that the girl who took my order on the phone was new and was in training and did modify the order properly. Then he said that I Had been given a discount on the cake because of the referral. LIES!!! When I went in to place the order I never once mentioned my friend and the girl who took my order showed me a pre printed price list for the order which was based on the #of people the cake was for. Even if they would have given me a discount they messed up my order. Armando said he would look further into the discrepancy and would give me a “discount” on my next order. Very dissatisfied with the service and his way of handling the inconvenience they caused.

I ordered a cake for my birthday and was very specific as to what I wanted: a chocolate cake with strawberry filling. When I got home after picking up said cake, it looked a mess. It was not even chocolate, but the driest vanilla sponge cake I’ve ever eaten!!! I paid $60 for a badly made and decorated cake. When I called to tell the woman about her mistake, she got super defensive and said that the cake was not dry and was just super rude. We were told that we would get refunded for the cake, but once we got there, the woman who took our order pretended not to know us and only refunded $10 out of the $60 that were paid. Not only are they rude, they are unprofessional. Definitely DO NOT recommend and will not be purchasing anything from them again. Should’ve just gone to Pete’s.
