It was a great location for my needs. It was central to areas I wanted to see and close to the airport. It does look like it needs a bit of a renovation as all places do when they have been open for a while. Paulette was AWESOME when I checked in early and got me a room in no time. She also pointed out places to get food, etc to make my stay convenient. She is very sweet and genuine! Way to treat the guests Paulette!!

A little nice gem by the lake Michigan. No Winnetka sticker is required May 15-Sept 15 for parking by the water. Playground is nice.

Very nice, quiet place to take the kids and it's not packed like many other parks. There are 2 different playgrounds here, one for smaller children and one for the bigger kids right next to each other. There is also a tall sprinkler for the kids to get wet and a water playground as well. This park has parking at the top of the hill for non residents and a small parking lot at the bottom towards the beach for Winnetka residence.

Anytime on the weekends is good.this beach is a hidden gem that few people know about. Parking and crowds are never much problem. The staff cleans the bathrooms a couple times a day so they are decent. The hot dog stand on the beach has a good selection of snacks.
After 4pm only with leash. Park area up top well behaved dogs can run. Clean-up after your dog and keep beach clean.

When I went it was about 7pm, I didn't pay. It may have. Even because it was so late in the day. Call though just to make sure.
