Every once in a while you find a place that just does everything right. Since I drive a lot for work, I love to stop in and try small restaurants when I'm out and about. They seem to try harder than the large national chains. Jelly Cafe in Mount Prospect is my new favorite spot. Clean and nicely decorated it has a very relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Their menu offers something for everyone. The food was brought out piping hot and was absolutely delicious. Service however is even more important to me and the star of the show at Jelly Cafe is their server, Rachel. She instantly made me feel like I was welcome and that she truly appreciated me stopping in. I really appreciate when a server smiles and actually cares about the people that are there. If you are looking for a nice place that offers a large selection of great food options AND also cares you are there...give Jelly Cafe a try!!

This place is definitely a great place to go have breakfast. It was my first visit today. Very friendly staff from start to finish. I had a wonderful waitress by the name of Rachel recommend the jelly French toast which was amazing. Her service was 5 stars within itself. Definitely will be back. Food service atmosphere everything was great.

Stopped here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. It wasn't quite full, but it was on the busier side. My first impression was that Jelly Cafe is a smaller and more modern version of an old fashioned pancake house. Located on the Golf Road side of the plaza here, it can be easily found and there is ample parking. For breakfast I ordered the Avocado Bacon Omelet. It's a 4 egg omelet. Wasn't quite was I was expecting. The omelet was blended of all the ingredients and was Green in color and very fluffy. Certainly unique, but lacked the flavors of both the avocado and the bacon. There was considerable amounts of chopped Red Pepper inside and a decent amount of melted Mozzarella resting on top. Alongside the omelet were diced breakfast potatoes which were very tasty and I opted for the fruit in place of toast/pancake. The fruit too, was very good and fresh. Our waitress was a very pleasant lady. Don't think we ever got her name, but she did a good job. The food was prepared a little faster than I was expecting as well. Big plus for me here is that water is readily available in large glass bottles at each table and that you don't need to ask for refills. I would certainly return to Jelly in the future.

My husband and I are very happy to have met our waitress named Rachel. She gave excellent customer service and helped us decide what to order on the menu. The food is amazing. Highly recommend
