So about Palm Court. If you're into trendy fusion or Michelin stars, this is not the place for you. However, if you find old school charm, well, charming, then Palm Court is right up your alley. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt like I stepped back in time to an upscale 1960s Vegas restaurant where I could easily imagine the Rat Pack sitting in a high back, plushly cushioned half circle booth, drinking martinis and enjoying the swing band. Okay, so there wasn't a big band performing tonight but the vocalist (complete with a french twist, ruby lipstick, and a red satin dress) fit the bill just fine. And the food? Oof. Very, very good! I started with the french onion soup. There was no gruyere baked over the top but the crouton was good and the soup was the perfect balance of beef and slightly crispy onion flavours. I chose the filet medallions topped with artichoke hearts and béarnaise for my main. Suffice it to say I happily ate every bite! Against my better judgment, I ordered dessert - chocolate mousse. I wasn't actually hungry. I really just wanted to see if they'd serve it in a martini glass. They didn't. Boo! But it tasted lovely, though it wasn't quite as smooth as I'd hoped it would be. Still! I probably ate 1/3 of it before my stomach said, "no more!" I'm tasting my way around Chicagoland's steakhouses - this one did not disappoint!

This review is a little deceiving. While I have patronized Palm Court several times over several decades, I'm not frequent. The service received for our group was great. The food was delicious- as I remember. It did seem the portion size to be smaller though. Can't imagine the 'older' crowd spending over a hundred dollars for a meal too frequently. I remember when the 'blue hairs' dominated the patronage here. I believe ownership may be different. With that said, it is a special place. If you're looking for the traditional 'independent' upscale restaurant where you can enjoy a cocktail at the bar, maybe with a piano serenade, a good comfortable relaxing meal, then Palm Court will not disappoint.

Such a fun experience. Food was great. It's an older crowd, but they were all dressed up and ready for a fun night. Definitely not a stuffy supper club vibe. There were live singers the night we went. That definitely added to the ambiance. The food was great. We had a caprese salad and chicken Florentine. Very flavorful dishes. Our waiter, Nick, was very attentive and made us feel like we were at home. The managers/owners were so grateful for the people coming in, but this place is absolutely hopping! I'm so happy I finally went in!

I choose this place to celebrate our anniversary. The ambiance is nice, and I thought it will be perfect for this occasion. After all, here is my impression: The food is excellent! Really, really good. Salad, grilled calamari, and top sirloin- everything was perfect! Service- super! The only thing I didn’t like is the average age of people who were sitting there :-). Mostly elderly people. I don’t have nothing against it, but at one point I started wondering what we are doing there. The only two people younger than 60. 😃 (we are in our 30s) But I have to give them 5 stars because everything was great!

I do not know who owns it. We visit a friend of ours who lives at Luther Village and we've taken her there for lunch.
I would call to check
I believe they are but I would call. A reservation might be required if they do a Thanksgiving dinner again
