This was a marvelous stop in the midst of my recent travels. Fine fabrics and notions of all kinds that are appropriately priced. The employees were wonderfully helpful as I stopped in 20 minutes before closing on a Friday. Definitely worth a return trip!!

The staff was super helpful, but the selection was a little disappointing as a quilter. Options for clothing were sumptuous and cool.

Amazing variety of fabrics. Found it hard to navigate which area had different types without asking for help! Beautiful store with beautiful fabrics. High end prices.

Britex moved from Geary, around the corner to Post, in December. I've been there numerous times since the move and I like the new space very much! They've moved from a deep and narrow 4-floor space, to a larger, rectangular, 2-floor space. The first floor has high ceilings, lots of natural and electric lighting. I found many new fabrics that were buried in the old space. The first floor carries wools, silks, rayon linings, evening wear fabrics. A very dramatic staircase, and an elevator (near the cashier), leads to the second floor, which carries notions, patterns (they no longer carry Vogue, but they've added several independent lines), buttons, zippers, ribbons, threads, wedding tiaras, home dec, cotton fabrics, knits (except wool knits, which are on the first floor). The second floor is quite "cozy", especially compared to the first floor, but still has good lighting. I like the new open layout and the wealth of lighting.

Yes!
They have good amount on second floor
Yes
I suspect they do, but your best bet is to call. They're open today, but not Sunday.
You can park at the Sutter-Stockton garage, which is about 3 blocks away. Not free, but....
Call them to check hours. COVID restrictions are affecting operations, though they had curbside and appointment service when I shopped recently.
No. They were open.
I did not recall seeing any when I wasvisiting there
Nada. No other fabric stores like it in the area.
Yes, you have to dye fabric your self. I've never seen a service that dye fabric.
I am not sure!! I shop there a lot!! They have extensive choice of fabrics!! A bit pricey!! Give them a call!

I've never seen any there, but call Britex and ask an associate.
Yeah sure.
Yes! They do!!
I will be surprised if they do not have.
Wow...I would take the garment in and meet with the folks at Britex.
When I was there a week ago the answer was no. Try Stone mountain and Daughter in Oakland.
Call them. They are awesome.
You need to contact the store directly, as these questions are not answered by store staff.
Work with an Interior Designer, Britex fabric is for clothing and soft goods....like pillows and bed room stuff.
They have an elevator to get between floors, but the space is tight between shelves and tables of fabric. A wheel chair or walker might be a close fit, but doable.
