It's been so long since I've eaten here, now the alley is full of outdoor seating. So festive. The wine is delicious as always. I had a glass of the sancerre. I also had the French onion soup and we shared the charcuterie plate. On point. I love Cafe Bastille.

I had breakfast with my mom this morning and I had a great experience, Brandon was our server and he was super attentive and sweet. If you haven’t tried it, what are you waiting for .

Wasn’t very impressed with the food. Before I going into details, I want to caveat that the ingredients were fresh and top quality. But that was only half the battle. I ordered the streak. The meat was well prepared. But in my opinion what separates good french food from great ones are the small things. For example, I was deeply disappointed in the French fries. I would described the fries like any fries you see in a bar or a pub. Skinny fries, always skinny fries (if you don’t know what I mean, you shouldn’t call yourself a French restaurant). We also ordered a crème brûlée thinking maybe it can save the day for us. Nope. The dish was pre-made. You know how I know, because it was still cold 🥶 inside! We always ordered French onion soup and the mussels. They were descent. Like I said, the ingredients were good quality. Thus 2 star for me.
