Not a great course, greens were absolutely terrible with dead spots everywhere. Looked like the fairways hadn’t been mowed in months. Front desk guy was “enforcing state mandated laws” and wasnt wearing a mask or enforcing that. For a public golf course that is supposed to be cheap and fun, it was not. Would recommend going anywhere around Oregon, IL that is not this place. Did not feel welcomed as a younger generation, and that goes for my whole foursome. Never getting my business again.

What a wonderful golf course Lost Nation is. You feel like a kid again surrounded by the beauty and awe of nature, and your playing the game of golf through this experience. This is a challenging course and each hole is unique. The fairways can be narrow at times with dog legs that will test your game. The greens are in great condition and can be a test for chipping on and putting at the hole. After finishing our game we went to the bar there and had a great time. Strongly suggest checking this golf course out for not only the natural beauty, but also the play of the course itself.

I haven't golfed here but I was there to speak with the manager and the place is beautiful. They have redone the place and it looks fresh and it seems like a fun place to hang out. The view is incredible. I was there before they opened but the managers Rose and Rod seem fun and very organized. I was given a tour and I'm no golfer but I may take up the sport just to hang out.

Questions & Answers

I live across the street from the golf course . Most golfers pick it up their errant balls and make a drop. However others think they can play off my yard. Next time I will call police for trespassing. Please advise your patrons.

Barb- Thank you for contacting Rod about this issue. In no way shape or form is it okay for anybody to play from your yard. I will place a sign at the 7th tee. Anyone caught playing from your yard will be removed from the course. If you do see any patrons not following the rule please call the pro shop immediately and we will take appropriate action. I'm very sorry for the the rude behavior of some of our customers and I look forward to resolving this issue. We want to be a good neighbor! Sign is in place and I hope this will put an end to this issue.
