I have stopped by here a few times, but I need to do so more often. Today, I took my dog for a walk in East Dundee and was feeling a bit hungry. I did not want a big burger or any big food, so I stopped by the Mockingbird with my dog. The service was excellent, they were very friendly toward my dog (we sat outside) and myself. I had the Arugula salad and Crab Cakes. Both were very good. The icing on the cake was the cocktail: The Drunken Parrot. On a nice summer day, with people passing by on the bike path, it was the perfect cocktail to sip while noshing on good food and enjoying the weather. It's rather high-end in terms of price, but it's also very high quality. For people who have just moved out of the city but in search of high-quality cocktails, it's a welcome place. And for those of us who have been here many years and view Buona Beef as the ultimate in Al Fresco dining, it's worth the stretch for an occasional treat. [Edited to add] The host staff and wait staff were very helpful and friendly. They really made my day with how nice and accommodating they were.

What a hidden gem! Well probably not so hidden but it was our first time here and wow!! Drinks were true craft cocktails with fine liquors and the flatbread was the best I have had locally. This is what people usually travel to the city to enjoy and it's here in our own backyard!

This restaurant owner has clearly put their heart and soul into every small detail of design to deliver a great experience for their customers. The cocktails and food were excellent. This is going to definitely become a destination for me when I am in the area. Congratulations to the owner! You have definitely achieved what you set out to do. Your sons were very gracious hosts as well. Looking at some of the lower reviews here, I’m at a loss for words..: other than.. “please ignore them”.

Truly one of the best dining spots in the suburbs of Chi. I’ve lived here my whole life and nothing compares. It’s almost like you have been transported to Stars Hallow in the middle of where Mamma Mia was filmed. So lively and bright but also calm and relaxing. A satisfying experience that will burn in your mind and will motivate you to return for more delightful memories. Also the food is just exquisite. Simple. And the pizzas are not your average Chicago-style. If you like refreshing, comforting food with a slight twist. Couldn’t recommend enough.
