Read this before you sign up for a move with them!! Pick anyone else, even your friends are better than this company. I have moved over 10 times in my life and have never had a move this bad. The crew damaged nearly every piece of furniture I own. They assured me they could move my tvs without damaging them. They broke a 3 year old 55" flat screen. They gave me penny's on the dollar due to way the contract is written. They also damaged my brand new hardwood floors. They fixed stuff but it's definitely not perfect. They also broke a ton of dishes that were packed super well. They dropped boxes and furniture and they took hours longer than my estimate due to a worker "cramping up". Find anyone else other than two men and a Truck. It's a national problem a coworker of mine had the same issues out of state as well.

At first, I had a terrible experience in scheduling my move with Two Men. The representative on the phone confirmed that they could transport my snowmobile well in advance of my move. However, the initial crew that was sent was awful - they had a truck with a lift that could not even fit the snowmobile, and they essentially gave up and told me IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVE that I would have to make other arrangements. It did not help that this initial crew was comprised of the two slowest movers I have ever seen out of many moves I have completed in the past; they were extremely inconsiderate of the items being moved as they left hundreds of dollars worth of damage to the walls and staircase without so much as a care in the world; one crew member was beyond rude and lazy; and they even had to ask to use my toolset to disassemble furniture that they knew was on the list to be moved. In the end, I escalated the situation to Tony of the East Dundee branch, and he is absolutely stellar! He and his crew (Colin and Lucien) arrived to help the initial crew with the snowmobile and with finishing the loading of the truck. They are the epitome of what a moving crew should be - quick, efficient, careful, and considerate. I appreciated their attitude and approach to the move in and of itself, but they took their exemplary service even further by offering to drive the hour and 15 minutes down to the end location just to assist the initial crew in unloading the snowmobile. Wow! Before they arrived, I never would have recommended Two Men to anyone, but I highly recommend Tony, Colin, and Lucien for their exceptional customer service. Thank you!

Great experience. I moved from Elgin to downtown Chicago and it was seamless. Alanzo. Ryan and Rahmon were outstanding, they helped set up the apartment and everything went smoothly. I moved into a high rise building and these guys navigated through the building easily. Efficient, professional, friendly. I couldn’t have asked for an easier move. Thanks guys!

I have moved upwards of 10-15+ times in my life and I have started to utilize movers more recently to help me as my family has grown over the past several years. I utilized Two Men and a Truck with my most recent local move since I figured I could possibly save some money and effort by utilizing their movers and their truck instead of me paying for both separately as I have done in the past. While I was happy with being able to get everything moved in a timely manner, the downside of using them was significant. One young man of the two helping me dropped my boxes at least twice (two times that I witnessed), when he attempted to move too many boxes/bins using a dolly. After the first occurrence I told him to please be careful as a few of the bins he dropped were labeled fragile. I told him to please take his time and that I could always help take a few boxes off or help him up the ramp so we could avoid it happening again. But then he did it again 10 minutes later loading his dolly up with too many boxes toppling them over yet again outside on the pavement. Clearly he wasn’t listening to me at this point. To make things worse, as we were loading the final ~15% of the truck, both of the movers voiced their concerns that there wouldn’t be enough room to fit in the remaining items. Given that I had recently moved myself from out of state using the same sized truck with no significant additions to my already existing amount of items, I knew it could all fit just fine with appropriate truck packing techniques. Instead of simply getting to work on making sure everything could actually fit, the same young man at one point uttered under his breath “your on thin ice.” At first I wasn’t sure what he said so I asked him to repeat himself and he did, so I was sure that he actually said what he did. While I understand that perhaps he did not have a ton of experience with moving large amounts of items in trucks, his complete lack of professionalism was stunning. He did not apologize and I asked him to simply complete moving my items in the truck as I was confident it would all fit. Low and behold 20 minutes or so later, it all fit just fine. In an effort to shorten this story, the same mover went on to bang at least two different small office desks into the walls of my new home scratching large sections of the paint off the wall..again with no apology, acting as if he’s doing me a favor. A few weeks later my wife found fragile items that had been broken because of the employee’s carelessness. I wanted to leave this review now that the dust has finally settled since my move. Needless to say, I was glad to get the move complete, but the whole experience made me never want to use Two Men and a Truck again or recommend them to others.
