I was looking forward to eating here while we were in town for Little League baseball. We were staying in Moline and looked online before we drove over. Google said the restaurant was currently closed but their website said they were open. Their Facebook page made no mention of them being closed. I tried to call first but no one answered. We drove over to find a sign on the door that they were on vacation and would reopen Monday, 7/25. Wish you would have put that online or even the voicemail but whatever. It would have saved us a trip but not a big deal, we'll be back. What I did have a problem with was on the 7/25 we went up to Field of Dreams with the rest of the team. On our way back the team went to lunch together in Dubuque. We decided not to go with the team and drive down to Olive Tree for lunch. So over an hour later we pull up to Olive Tree to find a new sign on the door that says they'll be back August 1st! What a waste of time! I felt so bad for my son that we didn't eat with the team because we had one last chance to eat at Olive Tree which he wanted to try too. Just ridiculous that you can't put this info online and then don't even open when you say you're going to. Extremely bad way of doing business. I see I'm not the only reviewer that found you were closed. Happened to me twice and won't happen again.

The food reminds of the wonderful food in Chicago. The owner is absolutely pleasant and wonderful! I had such a good time talking to him. I crave this food after having lived and Chicago and I’m so glad the Quad cities has it! Will be back 10000% over again

AMAZING!!! New to the area and this was our first time trying Olive Tree Cafe. We are a big fan of the food and had our local favorite back in Minneapolis so excited that we found something similar here in the Quad Cities. . It's always a good sign when you show up and there's a line 5 people deep to order. Staff was limited but I'm not going to deduct any stars for extended wait time. Staff was super friendly and super hopeful. Food was better than I hoped and they now have customers for life for as long as we live in the area. . Pictured is there veggie platter, chicken kabob with rice and the gyro platter with rice.

Wonderful food and we had a great personal touch chatting with the owner. He was so nice! There was a healthy selection of North African and Middle Eastern food, and even some Indian dishes. Stuffed grape leaves, falafel, samosas, pitas and hummus are great starters for sharing, but then I could barely finish my salmon bowl. I was so full when I left!

Asked him today. He said that they get so busy they just are not able to answer the phone. He said all people have to do is to go to bite squad and they can place an order there if the restaurant phone isn't answered. He also said he will try to get the voicemail changed to reflect that.
